Before starting an encounter from your CORE 500, be sure you have paired it with the Eko App (Connect an Eko Device with the Eko App) and have adjusted your device and workflow settings (Eko Account, App, and Device Settings). The app will automatically connect to the most recently connected Eko device when it is powered on.
Starting an encounter from your CORE 500 is easy with these simple steps:
- Turn on your CORE 500 and confirm it has connected to your phone and the Eko App by looking for the Bluetooth symbol on the upper left of the screen.
- Place the device on the patient.
- Press the top button for 2 seconds to start the recording, or, if you have the Record Automatically setting turned on, the recording starts when a good signal is detected.
- The bars encircling the device interface light up green to indicate recording is in process.
- To manually stop the recording before the timer ends, press the top button again for 2 seconds. Otherwise, the recording automatically stops after the length of time selected in the Recording Length* setting in the Eko App.
- A brief summary of any findings from the AI analysis (if applicable) will be show on the screen. To clear, press the top button once.
*Recording length can only be adjusted between 5sec and 15sec if AI analysis is turned off.
After the recording ends, find the encounter in the Encounters tab to manage its details. You can start multiple encounters from your CORE 500 by simply starting from step 1 after clearing the screen of your device, and each will appear as a unique encounter in the Eko App when you go to review later.
