Stethoscope earpiece

If you're experiencing low sound amplification through the stethoscope earpiece, check the following:

  1. Make sure that the CORE is turned on so that the white light is on.

  2. Press the ‘+’ button to increase the volume of the device.

  3. Make sure that the chestpiece is rotated to the appropriate side so that the indicator mark is aligned with the side of the diaphragm that you’re using.

Bluetooth or wired headphones

  1. Make sure that Volume Boost is turned on in the Eko App. Navigate to the Quick Record screen and tap on Audio.

  2. Toggle on Play from Headphones.

  3. Make sure you're increasing the phone's sound volume. Adjusting the CORE volume will only affect the volume through the stethoscope earpiece.

  4. If listening to audio playback, make sure your phone ringer is not on silent.

Playing back recordings

  1. Play from Headphones must be turned on in the Eko App settings.

  2. Navigate to the Quick Record screen and tap Audio.

  3. Toggle on Play from Headphones.

  4. Use wired headphones plugged into your phone to get the best audio quality.

  5. Turn the volume up on your phone to get maximum amplification.

Note

Amplification during playback will likely be lower than during live auscultation.
